Alex - Nomad Atlas

Hi, I'm Alex

Five years ago, I made a decision that would change everything. I sold most of my possessions, packed a camera and a backpack, and bought a one-way ticket to Bangkok. What started as a six-month adventure has become a way of life.

As a photographer and writer, I've always been drawn to stories—the ones we tell ourselves, the ones we discover in new places, and the ones that emerge when we step outside our comfort zones. This blog is my attempt to capture those stories, both in words and images.

From sleeping in hostels in Southeast Asia to camping under the stars in the Sahara, from photographing wildlife in Kenya to documenting street life in Tokyo, each journey has taught me something new about the world and about myself.

My goal with Nomad Atlas is simple: to share the moments that make travel meaningful. Not just the Instagram-worthy sunsets (though those are nice too), but the conversations with locals, the unexpected detours, the quiet mornings in unfamiliar cities, and the realization that the world is both vast and beautifully connected.

My Philosophy

Slow Travel

I believe in staying long enough to understand a place, not just see it. Quality over quantity, depth over breadth.

Authentic Connections

The best travel experiences come from genuine interactions with people. Learning a few words of the local language, sharing a meal, listening to someone's story.

Responsible Travel

Travel is a privilege. I'm committed to leaving places better than I found them, supporting local communities, and minimizing my environmental impact.
